The joint Upper Midwest Digital Collections Conference (#UMDCC20) and the Minnesota Digital Library Annual Meeting (#mndiglib2020) was held virtually November 5-6, 2020. Our two conferences share the same goals of providing an opportunity to connect with colleagues, share projects, and learn from each other, with the added benefit of cross-pollination between two different groups with many affinities.

Megan Johnson-Saylor is Digital Scholarship Librarian and University Archivist at Concordia University, Saint Paul. Since completing her Masters in Library and Information Science in 2012, she has had the pleasure of digging around in the archives of CSP and excavating treasures as she immerses herself in the history of the school. In addition to leading the library's Archives and Special Collections departments, Johnson-Saylor also spearheads the management and curation of the institutional repository, DigitalCommons@CSP, and other digital collections platforms. She has been working to grow the university's digital collections through digitization projects and curation of born-digital collections. In her time at CSP she has had the opportunity to work on many exciting projects: a Minnesota Cultural Heritage Grant funded project to digitize and make widely available a faculty oral history project, a digital humanities project with faculty and students to create a name database from the library's 1581 Book of Concord, and processing the personal collections of Paul Manz and Vint Lawrence--to name a few. Johnson-Saylor has a BA in Studio Art from Hamline University and a MLIS with a concentration in Archives and Records Management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has recently completed certifications in Creative Commons licensing and SAA Digital Archives Specialist track.
